A graphene oxide-molybdenum disulfide (GO-MoS) composite was synthesized and utilized as the highly efficient stationary phase of open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC). The characterization results indicated that GO-MoS composite was successfully synthesized. The GO-MoS-coated capillary column was prepared by covalent immobilization method for the determination of seven sulfonamides. The baseline separation of seven sulfonamides was achieved by GO-MoS-coated capillary column. The linear range was 0.05-100 μg/mL for sulfisomidine, sulfathiazole, sulfamerazine, phthalylsulfathiazole and sulfacetamide, 0.1-100 μg/mL for sulfamonomethoxine and sulfachloropyridazine with a satisfactory correlation coefficients (R) > 0.9994. This developed OT-CEC method was successfully applied to determinate of seven sulfonamides in environmental water and milk samples with good recoveries of 85.77% - 109.10% and 80.03% - 109.97%, respectively. These results indicated that GO-MoS-coated capillary column possessed good stability and repeatability.

Objective: The objective of this study is to assess the impact of nano platinum-hydrogen saline (Pt NPs + H) on oxygen-induced retinopathy (OIR) in neonatal rats, with the goal to contribute new insights into the therapeutic strategies for retinopathy of prematurity.
Methods: Pt NPs + H formulation was synthesized to address OIR in a rat model. Subsequent examination included the assessment of retinal blood vessel distribution and morphology through hematoxylin and eosin (HE) and isolectin B4 (IB4) staining techniques.

Background: The recovery of injured peripheral nerves relies on angiogenesis, where newly formed blood vessels act as pathways guiding Schwann cells across the wound to support axon regeneration. While some research has examined this process, the specific mechanisms of angiogenesis in peripheral nerve healing remain unclear. In vitro models are vital tools to investigate these mechanisms; however, no current in vitro culture methods exist for isolating vascular cells, such as endothelial cells (ECs) and pericytes, specifically from sciatic nerves.

Objective: To investigate the association between functional parameters of the microcirculation and the systemic cardiovascular system in a population of pregnant women at risk for gestational hypertension disorders.
Study Design: For this observational study, women at high cardiovascular risk according to maternal anthropometrics, obstetric and medical history, were recruited at random gestational age depending on time of referral to the outpatient clinic for high risk prenatal care at Ziekenhuis Oost Limburg, Genk Belgium. After birth, data of maternal and neonatal outcome were obtained from the hospital records: only women with normal pregnancy (n = 142) and with preeclampsia (n = 34) were included in this analysis.

Atmospheric pressure drying (APD) method holds great promise in the large-scale production of aerogels without specialized equipment and critical conditions. However, atmospheric-dried cellulose- based aerogels are challenged by the collapse of the pore walls induced by the capillary force that arises during solvent evaporation. This study prepared an atmospheric dried cellulose nanofiber (CNF) aerogel with a low shrinkage rate (17.

Light nonaqueous-phase liquids (LNAPLs) are the main source of organic pollution in soil and groundwater environments. The capillary zone, with varying moisture contents, is the last barrier against the infiltration of LNAPL pollutants into groundwater and plays an important role in their migration and transformation. However, the effect and mechanism of the moisture content in the capillary zone on LNAPL pollutant migration are still unclear.
