Objective: The potential of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), betaine (BET), and ginger (GIN), as natural antioxidants, in reducing negative effects of heat stress on physiological responses, antioxidant capacity, semen quality and fertility of bucks under heat stress were investigated.
Methods: Forty adult Animal Production Research Institute line rabbit bucks were distributed randomly into four experimental treatments of ten rabbits each. The first treatment was fed the commercial pellet diet (CPD) without supplementation and served as a control. The other three treatments were fed CPD supplemented with EVOO (300 mg), BET (1,000 mg), and GIN (200 mg) per kg diet for 3 consecutive months during the summer season.
Results: Supplementation of EVOO, BET, or GIN improved (p<0.05) the sexual desire, progressive motility, vitality, intact acrosome and membrane integrity, sperm cell concentration, sperm outputs and fertility. Seminal plasma total proteins, globulin, total antioxidant capacity, glutathione and glutathione S-transferase, and initial fructose increased (p<0.05), while total lipids, aspartate and alanine aminotransferases and malondialdehyde decreased (p<0.05) compared with the control. In comparing the natural antioxidants treatments, GIN evoked the largest improvement.
Conclusion: The inclusion of GIN (200 mg/kg diet) appeared to improve the sexual desire, semen quality and oxidative stress of bucks. This may be a beneficial supplement for the management of rabbit bucks used in natural mating or artificial insemination.

Objective: This study aims to elucidate the mechanisms by which nanovesicles (NVs) transport curcumin(CUR) across the blood-brain barrier to treat hypothalamic neural damage induced by heat stroke by regulating the expression of poly(c)-binding protein 2 (PCBP2).
Methods: Initially, NVs were prepared from macrophages using a continuous extrusion method. Subsequently, CUR was loaded into NVs using sonication, yielding engineered cell membrane Nanovesicles loaded with curcumin (NVs-CUR), which were characterized and subjected to in vitro and in vivo tracking analysis.

Superoxide dismutase (SOD) plays important roles in the balance of oxidation and antioxidation in body mostly by scavenging superoxide anion free radicals (O). Previously, we reported a novel Cu/Zn SOD from jellyfish Cyanea capillata, named CcSOD1, which exhibited excellent SOD activity and high stability. TAT peptide is a common type of cell penetrating peptides (CPPs) that efficiently deliver extracellular biomacromolecules into cytoplasm.

An experiment was performed at the Banaras Hindu University, India to study the effect of terminal heat stress on photosynthetic dynamics and fluorescence parameters of wheat genotypes and ameliorative effects of epibrassinolide by taking two genotypes with four concentrations as foliar spray at two growth stages of wheat. The highest values were observed in plots foliar sprayed with 1.0 µM 24-epibrassinolide (T1) under normal conditions (D1) where the genotype Sonalika (V1) performed significantly well w.

Temperature is an environmental parameter that remarkably affects the survival and organism health of poikilothermal animal-Whitmania pigra Whitman. Heat stress destroys the physiological homeostasis of intestine tissue. However, no studies on the intestinal mucosa response of leech exposure to heat stress have been reported so far.

Although the symbiotic partnership between corals and algal endosymbionts has been extensively explored, interactions between corals, their algal endosymbionts and microbial associates are still less understood. Screening the response of natural microbial consortiums inside corals can aid in exploiting them as markers for dysbiosis interactions inside the coral holobiont. The coral microbiome includes archaea, bacteria, fungi, and viruses hypothesized to play a pivotal vital role in coral health and tolerance to heat stress condition via different physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms.
