Background: Coronary stenting operations have become the main option for the treatment of coronary heart disease. Vessel recovery after stenting has emerged as a critical factor in reducing possible complications. In this study, we evaluated the feasibility, safety and efficacy of locally administered intraluminal gene therapy delivered using a specialized infusion balloon catheter.

Background: Because of the limitations in new-generation drug-eluting stents (DES), treatments advocating for non-stents with a drug-coated balloon (DCB) is now of great interest. Here, we conducted a meta-analysis to testify whether a DCB was more effective and safer than a DES in treating de novo coronary artery disease (CAD).
Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science to obtain high-quality trials comparing DCB with DES for the treatment of de novo CAD.

In-stent restenosis (ISR) remains the predominant cause of stent failure and the most common indication for repeat revascularization. Despite technological advances in stent design, ISR continues to pose significant challenges, contributing to increased morbidity and mortality among patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions. In the last decade, intravascular imaging has emerged as an important method for identifying the mechanisms behind ISR and guiding its treatment.

Background: Despite significant reductions in in-stent restenosis (ISR) incidence with the adoption of drug-eluting stents (DES) over bare metal stents (BMS), ISR remains an unresolved issue in the DES era. The risk factors associated with DES-ISR have not been thoroughly analyzed. This meta-analysis aims to identify the key factors and quantify their impact on DES-ISR.

Objective: To investigate the associations of anemia-related parameters, with in-hospital mortality after acute coronary syndrome (ACS), as well as factors associated with prior anemia (PA) and hospital-acquired anemia (HAA) in patients with ACS.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study conducted between June 2021 and May 2023. The data of patients diagnosed with ACS who were hospitalized and treated in our hospital were recorded, including age and sex, smoking and comorbidity status, laboratory findings, CHA2DS2-VASc scores, prior medication use, left ventricular ejection fraction, ACS type, the synergy between percutaneous intervention with taxus drug-eluting stents and cardiac surgery (SYNTAX) scores, stent thrombosis status and mortality status.
