Hypertension (HT) is a prevalent medical condition showing an increasing incidence rate in various populations over recent years. Long-term hypertension increases the risk of the occurrence of hypertensive nephropathy (HTN), which is also a health-threatening disorder. Given that very little is known about the pathogenesis of HTN, this study was designed to identify disease biomarkers, which enable early diagnosis of the disease, through the utilization of high-throughput untargeted metabolomics strategies.

Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) poses a significant risk for maternal morbidity and mortality. There is a global rise in incidence of PAS in tandem with an increase in rates of cesarian section. Previous cesarian section and presence of placenta previa are two independent risk factors for development of PAS.

Gosling gout disease is an infectious disease caused by goose astrovirus (GAstV), which can result in urate deposition in the internal organs and joints of goslings. Since 2015, outbreaks of gosling gout disease have occurred in several goose-producing areas in China. Subsequently, the disease spread to the vast majority of eastern China, becoming a major threat to goose farms and causing huge economic losses to the goose industry.

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a serious tick-borne disease with a wide geographical distribution. Classified as a level 4 biosecurity risk pathogen, CCHF can be transmitted cross-species due to its aerosol infectivity and ability to cause severe hemorrhagic fever outbreaks with high morbidity and mortality. However, current methods for detecting anti-CCHFV antibodies are limited.
