Background: Hip fractures in the elderly are a major global public health concern, with incidence projected to rise as populations age. Rehabilitation is critical to recovery after hip fracture surgery, but the ideal timing for initiation remains uncertain. While early rehabilitation, within 48 h post-surgery, is associated with better outcomes, its specific impact on hospital stay duration and postoperative complications is not yet conclusively established.

Introduction: Facility discharges following an elective, primary, total joint arthroplasty are infrequent, but are associated with poor outcomes and significant cost. Therefore, investigating ways to identify patients most likely to be discharged to a facility could improve patient care, reduce costs, and potentially lead to strategies to mitigate these risks.
Methods: A total of 3,198 patients who underwent a total hip or knee arthroplasty between June 2021 and June 2023 were included in this study.

Purpose: Despite the dramatic improvement in pulmonary function after lung transplantation, lung transplant recipients often have reduced physical function. The purpose of this study was to investigate the associations between physical function and a wide range of patient-level factors among lung transplant recipients to allow researchers and healthcare providers to identify and better understand contributors to poor physical function.
Methods: A cross-sectional study of lung transplant recipients enrolled in Lung Transplant Go (LTGO), a randomized, controlled trial evaluating the efficacy of a telerehabilitation behavioral exercise intervention on physical function.
