Background: Renal hilar clamping during a robotic partial nephrectomy is essential for a successful, nephron-sparing tumor resection. Standard robotic bulldog clamps are modified to accommodate multiport robotic surgical systems with alterations including knobs to fit robotic forceps and reduced spring tension. Despite the lower spring tension, a standard robotic bulldog clamp cannot be loaded and opened using one Single Port robotic arm. The angled path instrument cables take through multiple robotic arm articulations lowers the maximum force generated by Single Port instruments to below what is necessary to load and open a robotic bulldog clamp.

Objective: To share institutional knowledge gained regarding safe and efficient hilar clamp placement and removal using the da Vinci Single Port Surgical System with a standard robotic bulldog clamp. As the da Vinci Single Port system gains wider use, knowledge of this technique will reduce surgeon trial-and-error during first experiences using the Single Port system with bulldog clamps.

Material: Video obtained during two partial nephrectomies, da Vinci Single Port Surgical System, Scanlan Reliance 25 mm curved robotic bulldog clamp, Final Cut Pro video editing software.

Results: A controlled sequence of steps for renal hilar clamping and subsequent clamp removal using a standard robotic bulldog clamp with the da Vinci Single Port Surgical System.

Conclusion: The demonstrated technique for intracorporeal loading, opening, and placement of a standard robotic bulldog clamp using the da Vinci Single Port Surgical System is feasible and efficient.

We report a rare case of a 29-year old woman presenting with abdominal pain, whose initial examination failed to identify intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) threads. IUCD migration was confirmed by CT scan and subsequent single-port laparoscopic retrieval alleviated her symptoms.

Giant ovarian cysts (GOCs) have become less common in developed countries due to routine health screenings, but they remain prevalent in economically underdeveloped regions. Treatment options for GOCs depend on factors such as age, cyst characteristics, and pregnancy status. Minimally invasive single-port laparoscopic surgery has largely replaced traditional open surgery due to its aesthetic advantages and effectiveness.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been identified as one of the top ten public health threats facing humanity. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of an antimicrobial stewardship educational intervention on family caregivers' knowledge and practices in primary healthcare settings in Egypt. A quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design involving a sample of 300 family caregivers attending family health centers.

Background: The purpose of this study was to compare the outcomes of Trans-umbilical single-port laparoscopic complete extraperitoneal closure (LCEC) and laparoscopic intracorporeal closure (LIC) for inguinal hernia by analysis of follow-up data over 5 years.

Methods: In this prospective randomized controlled trial, 524 children with inguinal hernia were randomly assigned to undergo LCEC or LIC between August 2016 and December 2017. The primary outcome measures were the success and recurrence rates.

Background: Based on the presenting injury, patients undergoing abuse evaluation may be managed by different specialties. Our local child abuse specialist expressed concern over the variability in evaluation of patients presenting with injuries concerning for non-accidental trauma (NAT). The aim of this quality improvement project was to increase the percentage of patients for whom there is a concern for NAT who receive a guideline-adherent evaluation from 7.
