This study examined interrelationships among insomnia, stress, anxiety, and metabolic risk factors. : A total of 124 college students were included in the analysis (age = 21 ± 1 years). Insomnia, stress of life events, and anxiety were assessed using self-reported questionnaires. Fasting blood samples were assayed for glucose, insulin, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-cholesterol). : Insomnia was positively associated with stress of life events (β = 0.28, < .001) and anxiety (β = 0.46, < .001). Insomnia was related to elevated fasting insulin (β = 0.12, = .04) and triglyceride level (β = 1.85, < .001). An inverse association was found between insomnia and HDL-cholesterol (β = -0.45, = .03). Sobel's test for mediation showed that stress of life events ( = .020) and anxiety ( = .013) mediated the relationship between insomnia and hypertriglyceridemia. : Reducing stress and anxiety among college students with insomnia may influence subsequent cardiovascular health.

Introduction: Suffering from chronic pain (CP) and coping with parenthood can be challenging for parental mental health. Pain can hinder the ability to deal with demands related to parenthood, which can negatively affect their psychological well-being because of unmet caregiving expectations.
Methods: Considering the limited amount of research regarding the mental health of parents with CP, the study's main aim was to test a predictive model based on previous scientific literature, using structural equation analysis, in which parental competence and parental guilt partially mediate the relationship between parental stress and depression.

Injury caused by excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) may lead to susceptibility to bacterial infection and sustained inflammatory response, which are the major factors impeding diabetic wound healing. By utilizing optimal anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial biomaterials for multifunctional wound dressings is critical in clinical applications. In this study, a novel electrospun PLGA/MoS@Pd nanofiber membrane was synthesized by encapsulating antioxidant and near-infrared (NIR) responsive MOS@Pd nanozymes in PLGA nanofibers to form a multifunctional dressing for diabetic wound repair.
