Faculty development programs are an important part of career building and professional fulfillment for health professionals. A framework that addresses the centrality of fulfillment at work for diverse medical careers is lacking, yet necessary, for faculty development programs to have a comprehensive positive impact. A conceptual framework for faculty development to support meaningful careers for all individuals was, therefore, constructed through an exploration of the literature on professional fulfillment, career planning, and development across career paths, stages, and identity groups, as well as forms of professional career support such as mentoring.

Background: Health equity is a commonly asserted goal of health systems. However, there is a limited understanding on how best to promote equity as a part of health system reform initiatives. We conducted a scoping review to (1) identify and characterise strategies that promote health equity during the design and implementation of health system reform initiatives; and (2) determine opportunities to strengthen health equity informed policy design and implementation processes and outcomes.

Interval timing, the ability of animals to estimate the passage of time, is thought to involve diverse neural processes rather than a single central "clock" (Paton & Buonomano, 2018). Each of the different processes engaged in interval timing follows a different dynamic path, according to its specific function. For example, attention tracks anticipated events, such as offsets of intervals (Rohenkohl & Nobre, 2011), while motor processes control the timing of the behavioral output (De Lafuente et al.

T cell development occurs in the thymus in both mice and humans. Upon entry into the thymus, bone marrow-derived blood-borne progenitors receive instructive signals, including Notch signaling, to eliminate their potential to develop into alternative immune lineages while committing to the T cell fate. Upon T-lineage commitment, developing T cells receive further instructional cues to generate different T cell sublineages, which together possess diverse immunological functions to provide host immunity.

Accurate specification of female and male germ cells during embryonic development is critical for sexual reproduction. Primordial germ cells (PGCs) are the bipotential precursors of mature gametes that commit to an oogenic or spermatogenic fate in response to sex-determining cues from the fetal gonad. The critical processes required for PGCs to integrate and respond to signals from the somatic environment in gonads are not well understood.
