The scope of this research was to identify and characterize spatial units of epidemiological relevance in the state of Rio de Janeiro, through the highest concentrations of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) from 1980 to 2012, considering the geographical aspects. SUCAM, FUNASA and SINAN databases were consulted. A method of adjustment of spatially referenced data for demarcation of the regions with the highest concentrations of cases called circuits and poles was applied. These were superimposed on the socioenvironmental indicator maps. Of the total cases registered in the period, 87% occurred in the municipalities located in the resulting circuits and poles. The variations in the occurrence of cases in the different circuits and poles were not related to the socioenvironmental indicators. The identification of the circuits and poles can subsidize the state CL program of the prioritization of strategies of prevention and control actions and the optimization of the resources of the program. These regions, which are more stable than the localities, allow surveillance and control operations in locations with many cases and in other locations in the identified risk area, because they have the same characteristics as those already affected.

Electroacupuncture (EA) is one of the most commonly used methods in acupuncture and has a good effect on pain, depression, sensory movement disorders, and other diseases. The effectiveness of EA is influenced by many factors, such as the accuracy of acupoint selection, the duration and course of EA treatment, and EA parameters. However, it has rarely been discussed whether the positive and negative electrodes of the EA instrument with acupoints at different locations and distances have an effect on the curative effect.

A compact simple structure bandpass filter based on terminated three coupled line structures with high selectivity is introduced through odd and even-mode analysis. The proposed filter consists of three coupled lines loaded by open and short circuit stubs. The parallel-coupled lines structure is used to obtain high selectivity with transmission zeros near the passband.

This paper presents a compact V-band low-noise amplifier (LNA) featuring temperature compensation, implemented in a 130 nm SiGe BiCMOS process. A negative temperature coefficient bias circuit generates an adaptive current for temperature compensation, enhancing the LNA's temperature robustness. A T-type inductive network is employed to establish two dominant poles at different frequencies, significantly broadening the amplifier's bandwidth.

This concern will be important while the any kind of expanding and acclimation plan need to be executed to strengthen the existing infrastructures in order to provide better condition with regard to satisfied criteria. In Iran one of the most adverse environmental occurrences known Fine Dust, may force several distribution utilities to be changed due to new technical requirements.

This paper describes and validates an advanced synthesis design process of Frequency-Selective Surfaces (FSSs) with elliptic band-stop responses. A systematic procedure based on the Generalized Chebyshev Function and the extracted pole technique enables control of the position of the transmission zeros and the attenuation level to obtain an equiripple rejection response. A systematic process is followed to obtain the lumped LC values of the resonator circuits extracted as poles and the impedance inverters.
