Porokeratosis is a condition characterized by abnormal epidermal keratinization with a unique morphology of papules or plaques surrounded by a thread-like border of scale corresponding to the cornoid lamella on histology. Many established subtypes have been described; however, genitogluteal porokeratosis is a rare entity. We present the case of a 58-year-old male with pruritic reddish lesions affecting the genitals and thighs, diagnosed with genital porokeratosis.

Background: Private-part skin diseases (PPSDs) can cause a patient's stigma, which may hinder the early diagnosis of these diseases. Artificial intelligence (AI) is an effective tool to improve the early diagnosis of PPSDs, especially in preventing the deterioration of skin tumors in private parts such as Paget disease. However, to our knowledge, there is currently no research on using AI to identify PPSDs due to the complex backgrounds of the lesion areas and the challenges in data collection.

The purpose of this clinical case was to test the efficacy and safety of the long-pulsed 1064-nm neodymium-YAG laser in the treatment of multiple angiokeratomas on the labia majora of the vulva. Benign vascular neoplasms known as angiokeratomas are characterized by well-defined, hyperkeratotic, reddish-black papules, or plaques. The patient underwent one treatment session with a long-pulsed 1064-nm neodymium-YAG laser.
