This study assessed the impact of race and ethnicity on longitudinal test variability and time to detect glaucoma progression using standard automated perimetry (SAP) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). The sample consisted of 47,003 SAP tests from 5402 eyes and 25,480 OCT tests from 4125 eyes, with 20% of participants self-identifying as Black or African American and 80% as White; 29% as Hispanic or Latino and 71% as Not Hispanic or Latino. Variability was measured using standard deviations of residuals from linear regression models for SAP mean deviation (MD) and OCT retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness over time.

Background: The Veterans Aging Cohort Study (VACS) Index is a summary measure of routinely obtained clinical variables that predicts numerous health outcomes. Since there are currently no tools to predict acute kidney injury (AKI) in persons with HIV (PWH), we investigated the association of preadmission VACS Index with hospital AKI in PWH.

Introduction: This report describes the self-reported prevalence of daily screen time among teenagers ages 12-17 years and explores whether differences exist by selected characteristics and demographics.

Methods: Data from the July 2021-December 2023 National Health Interview Survey-Teen were used for this analysis. Point estimates and the corresponding confidence intervals were calculated using SAS-callable SUDAAN software to account for the complex sample design of NHIS-Teen.
