Aim: After the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, several municipal offices were forced to evacuate, and municipal public employees (MPEs) had to perform many administrative tasks related to the disaster. Background: The two strongest earthquakes in Turkey for eight decades hit Kahramanmaraş province on February 6, 2023. This study aimed to determine psychiatric complaints, acute stress symptoms, anxiety, depression, and sleep characteristics in children who were treated in a tertiary inpatient pediatric unit after the earthquakes. They were evaluated in the fourth week after the earthquake.

Objective: The 2023 earthquake in southeastern Turkey significantly impacted physical and emotional well-being in the region. This study evaluates the earthquake's effects on glycemic control, diabetes management, and stress levels in children with type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Materials And Methods: Seventy-nine pediatric T1D patients were assessed before and after the earthquake.

Objective: Youth may develop posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a hurricane. Triaging of mental health services is crucial to effectively deliver trauma-focused interventions following natural disasters. Given the increased likelihood of hurricanes due to the current climate crisis, this study sought to examine the dose-response effect between hurricane-related stressors and PTSD, identify a cumulative stressor cutoff score based on the number of hurricane-related stressors experienced, and identify important individual hurricane-related stressors in explaining PTSD symptoms among youth.
