A case of cervical neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the uterine cervix (NECUC) was presented. After total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and adjuvant chemotherapy, a left renal tumor and a pancreatic lesion developed and were both diagnosed on pathological examination as metastases from NEC. In addition, a brainstem metastasis causing neurologic signs developed. The brain lesion was treated by stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) and the renal and pancreatic lesions by stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). Despite control of the renal and pancreatic lesions, multiple small lung metastases developed later. Recurrence and newly developed brain metastases were treated by repeat stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)/SRT successfully. Chemotherapy was continued and controlled the lung metastases until three and a half years after the initial operation of the uterus.

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are multisystemic autoimmune disorders that can present with renal manifestations. Overlapping cases of these diseases are extremely rare and present both diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We report the case of a 70-year-old male with a history of autoimmune pancreatitis, who was admitted with fatigue, weight loss, and worsening kidney function.

Introduction: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is indicated for multiple pancreatic and biliary pathologies and carries a heightened risk profile compared with other endoscopic procedures. Considerable research has been directed towards discerning risk factors associated with complications such as post-ERCP pancreatitis and post-ERCP bleeding. Despite this, data on chronic liver disease (CLD) as a risk factor for complications is limited.

Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonists, such as exenatide (Byetta, Bydureon), liraglutide (Victoza, Saxenda), albiglutide (Tanzeum), dulaglutide (Trulicity), lixisenatide (Lyxumia, Adlyxin), semaglutide (Ozempic, Rybelsus, Wegovy), and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound), are widely used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity. While these agents are well known for their metabolic benefits, there is growing interest in their potential effects on cancer biology. However, the role of GLP-1R agonists in cancer remains complex and not fully understood, particularly across different tumor types.

High anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA) is a common biochemical abnormality in hospitalized patients, often linked to conditions such as lactic acidosis, renal failure, or drug toxicity. A rare etiology, 5-oxoprolinuria, resulting from acetaminophen use, malnutrition, and sepsis, is increasingly recognized in critically ill patients. We report a 29-year-old male with a history of intellectual disability and normal baseline kidney function who was admitted with acute necrotizing pancreatitis and developed severe metabolic acidosis and acute kidney injury (AKI).
