An optical configuration for Fabry-Pérot cavity scanning using a geometric phase shifter, known as the "spectral drill," is improved to acquire a spectrum in real-time. Previously, the resonance condition of the spectral drill is swept by the mechanical rotation of a phase plate comprising a geometric phase shifter, and the acquisition time is limited. In this work, using a q-plate and a camera instead of phase plate rotation and a photo detector, we remove all the spinning mechanics and increase the acquisition rate by a factor 720. This technique will be applied to locking laser frequency.

The large numbers of ion exchange resins used in various industries (food, pharmaceutitics, mining, hydrometallurgy), and especially in water treatment, are based on cross-linked polystyrene and divinylbenzene copolymers with functional groups capable of ion exchange. Their advantage, which makes them environmentally friendly, is the possibility of their regeneration and reuse. Taking into account the wide application of these materials, styrene-divinylbenzene resin with a quaternary ammonium functional group, AmberliteIRA402, was characterized using a well-known and widely used method, FT-IR spectroscopy.

Conventional logging interpretation methods qualitatively identify shale reservoirs using shale attribute parameters and interpretation templates. However, improving the identification accuracy of complex shale reservoirs is challenging due to the numerous evaluation parameters and the complexity of model calculations. To quantitatively characterize high-quality shale reservoirs effectively, this study utilizes two wells in the Fuling shale gas field as examples and establishes a comprehensive evaluation method for identifying high-quality shale gas reservoirs utilizing multi-fractal spectral analysis of well logs.

Artificial Intelligence (AI), computer simulations, and virtual reality (VR) are increasingly becoming accessible tools that can be leveraged to implement training protocols and educational resources. Typical assessment tools related to sensory and neural processing associated with task performance in virtual environments often rely on self-reported surveys, unlike electroencephalography (EEG), which is often used to compare the effects of different types of sensory feedback (e.g.

Weeds are undesired plants competing with crops for light, nutrients, and water, negatively impacting crop growth. Identifying weeds in wheat fields accurately is important for precise pesticide spraying and targeted weed control. Grass weeds in their early growth stages look very similar to wheat seedlings, making them difficult to identify.
