Linear canonical transformation (LCT) provides a generalized and elegant mathematical framework for analyzing the coherence properties of an electromagnetic (EM) beam propagating in quadratic phase systems (QPSs). It is shown that LCT may be used to analyze coherence properties such as generalized Stokes parameters and EM degree of coherence of a partially coherent EM beam propagating through a QPS. We present simulation results of a Gaussian Schell model beam propagating through a Fourier system, fractional Fourier system, and 4 imaging system with an aperture and beam relay system.

Light, strong, and radiation-tolerant materials are essential for advanced nuclear systems and aerospace applications. However, the comprehensive properties of current radiation-tolerant materials are far from being satisfactory in harsh operating environments. In this study, a high-throughput-designed NbVTaSi refractory eutectic medium entropy alloy realizes the controllable formation of the β-NbSi phase with a high content and has outstanding comprehensive properties, i.

Background: Family sense of coherence (FSOC) seems to reduce distress in the family and promote the well-being of the family. Therefore, getting accurate measurements for families with long-term illnesses is of particular interest. This study explores dyadic data analysis from the dyadic- and single-informant perspectives, and the measurement properties of the FSOC-S12 according to the Rasch model.

Purpose: To assess the safety of acoustic radiation force optical coherence elastography in the crystalline lens in situ.
Methods: Acoustic radiation force (ARF) produced by an immersion single-element ultrasound transducer (nominal frequency = 3.5 MHz) was characterized using a needle hydrophone and used for optical coherence elastography (OCE) of the crystalline lens.

Significance: Pulse oximeter measurements are commonly relied upon for managing patient care and thus often require human testing before they can be legally marketed. Recent clinical studies have also identified disparities in their measurement of blood oxygen saturation by race or skin pigmentation.
Aim: The development of a reliable bench-top performance test method based on tissue-simulating phantoms has the potential to facilitate pre-market assessment and the development of more accurate and equitable devices.

Having a detailed description of the psycholinguistic properties of a language is essential for conducting well-controlled language experiments. However, there is a paucity of databases for some languages and regional varieties, including Québec French. The SyllabO+ corpus was created to provide a complete phonological and syllabic analysis of a corpus of spoken Québec French.
