N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine-quinone (6PPD-Q), an environmental pollutant derived from the ozonolysis of the widely used tire rubber antioxidant 6PPD, has been found to accumulate in air, dust, and water, posing significant health risks. While its reproductive toxicity in male organisms has been established, its effects on female reproductive health remain unclear. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a common endocrine disorder in premenopausal women, is known to be influenced by environmental pollutants.

The physiological and clinical importance of motile cilia in reproduction is well recognized, however, the specific role they play in transport through the oviduct and how ciliopathies lead to subfertility and infertility is still unclear. The contribution of cilia beating, fluid flow, and smooth muscle contraction to overall progressive transport within the oviduct remains under debate. Therefore, we investigated the role of cilia in the oviduct transport of preimplantation eggs and embryos using a combination of genetic and advanced imaging approaches.

Chronic endometritis (CE) is an important factor leading to decreased endometrial receptivity, infertility, and repeated pregnancy loss; endometrial immune dysfunction, abnormal microbial flora, inflammatory status, and other factors play important roles in the occurrence and development of CE. Meanwhile, these factors are closely related to the pathophysiological mechanisms of common diseases that cause infertility, such as endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, tubal diseases, and endometrial polyps. Through further development of high-quality prospective clinical research, microbiome and immunomics of CE and endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and other diseases, to provide a new therapeutic idea for the treatment of refractory CE.
