Background: With advancements in minimally invasive thoracic surgery techniques, such as video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery and robotic surgery, the design of vascular staplers has evolved to meet the requirements of these procedures. Consequently, newer generations of automatic staplers with improved handling and reduced size have been introduced, such as two-row staplers, which are more maneuverable and less bulky than their three-row counterparts.
Case Presentation: A 68-year-old man with lung cancer underwent a right middle and lower lobectomy due to tumor invasion into the central middle bronchial trunk, rendering the preservation of the middle lobe impossible.

Background: Chronic active Epstein-Barr virus (CAEBV) colitis is a rare disease with clinical and endoscopic manifestations very similar to those of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In clinical practice, it is easy to be misdiagnosed and mistreated, leading to poor clinical outcomes.
Case Presentation: We report a case of a 56-year-old Chinese woman who presented with 6 years of intermittent severe diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain.

Background: Chronic nonspecific neck pain (CNSNP) is a common musculoskeletal disorder, particularly in the elderly, leading to reduced cervical muscle strength, impaired functional balance, and decreased postural stability. This study investigated the correlation between cervical muscle strength, functional balance, and limits of stability (LOS) in elderly individuals with CNSNP. Additionally, it assessed the moderating effect of pain severity on the relationship between cervical muscle strength and these balance outcomes.

Renal fibrosis is the common pathological basis for the progressive development of chronic kidney disease (CKD) caused by various etiologies. It is characterized by the persistent deposition of extracellular matrix, leading to renal tissue damage and impaired renal function, and ultimately progressing to kidney failure. Current clinical treatments for CKD mainly focus on managing the primary diseases, with no specific drugs targeting renal fibrosis.

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a common mental disorder with chronic tendencies that seriously affect regular work, life, and study. However, its exact pathogenesis remains unclear. Patients with MDD experience systemic and localized impairments in glucose metabolism throughout the disease course, disrupting various processes such as glucose uptake, glycoprotein transport, glycolysis, the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA), and oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS).
