Social justice, inclusion and equity are everyone's responsibility. We achieve these values when we recognize and accept the characteristics of every person as a unique individual. Professional case managers, or other healthcare practitioners and leaders, have an obligation to advance the health, human and social outcomes of the people they serve, regardless of the social group they belong to and irrespective of their determinants of diversity. It is time to address social justice, inclusion and equity as ethical principles of practice for the professional case manager.

Stimulant use disorder (StUD) is a rapidly growing concern in the United States, with escalating rates of death attributed to amphetamines and cocaine. No medications are currently approved for StUD treatment, leaving clinicians to navigate off-label medication options. Recent studies suggest that controlled prescription psychostimulants such as dextroamphetamine, methylphenidate, and modafinil are associated with reductions in self-reported stimulant use, craving, and depressive symptoms.

Background: Active case-finding is an effective strategy for combating leprosy, especially in early multibacillary cases in endemic regions.
