Objective: The aim of the present research project was to study the effect of ultrasonic waves on the S. epidermidis ATCC 14990 museum culture.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: A bibliosemantic method - for analyzing previous research based on scientific literature, electronic resources, empirical methods of scientific research (observation, comparison, measurement, experiment) - to study the effect of ultrasound on the strain of S. epidermidis ATCC 14990.
Results: Results: A study showed that when exposed to ultrasound for four and a half minutes on a culture of microorganisms S. epidermidis in glass tubes, the number of viable cells in the suspension decreases.
Conclusion: Conclusions: The influence of ultrasound on the culture of S. epidermidis, studied in the work, showed that the selected and used parameters of ultrasound treatment cause destructive changes in microorganisms. These changes are not fatal for the entire bacterial culture used in the study, but they have a reliable antimicrobial effect.

Periprosthetic joint infections occur in 1-2% of all patients undergoing prosthetic joint surgeries. Although strong efforts have been made to reduce infection rates, conventional therapies like one- or two-stage revisions have failed to lower the infection rates. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has shown promising results in reducing bacterial loads on surfaces.

Marine-derived actinobacteria isolated from sponge and soft coral were screened for antibacterial activity against acne-related bacteria, specifically ATCC 14990, methicillin-resistant ATCC BAA44, and ATCC 6919. Cytotoxicity assays were performed on human dermal fibroblast (HDFa) and keratinocyte (HaCaT) cell lines to assess the safety profile of the extracts. Chemical characterization was conducted using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS).

The emergence of multidrug-resistant pathogens presents a significant global health challenge, which is primarily fuelled by overuse and misuse of antibiotics. Bacteria-derived antimicrobial metabolites offer a promising alternative strategy for combating antimicrobial resistance issues. Bacillus velezensis PD9 (BvPD9), isolated from stingless bee propolis, has been reported to have antibacterial activities against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

The increase in infections derived from biofilms from spp. prompted us to develop novel strategies to inhibit biofilm development. Nanoscale protrusion structures (nanopillars) observed on the wings of dragonflies and cicadas have recently gained notable attention owing to their physical, antimicrobial, and bactericidal properties.

Antibiotic resistance by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an urgent threat to human health. The biofilm and persister cells formation ability of MRSA and Staphylococcus epidermidis often companied with extremely high antimicrobial resistance. Pinaverium bromide (PVB) is an antispasmodic compound mainly used for irritable bowel syndrome.
