Background: The occurrence of lung adenocarcinoma metastasizing to the pancreas is overall rare and can histologically imitate primary pancreatic ductal carcinoma (PDAC).
Case Report: This is a case report of a 70-year-old female with a history of surgically resected right lung adenocarcinoma presenting for routine follow up without symptoms. CT scans revealed a pancreatic cystic mass with ductal dilatation that was sampled via endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and thought to be a primary pancreatic mucinous neoplasm with high grade dysplasia suspicious for carcinoma based on smear cytology. On repeat EUS-FNA and biopsy (FNB) with additional immunohistochemical testing for lung adenocarcinoma markers thyroid transcription factor (TTF1) and Napsin A and molecular testing, the lesion was identified as a metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma with an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR L858R) mutation; subsequently, the patient underwent targeted therapy that yielded an almost complete response.
Conclusion: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first documented case in English literature of a lung adenocarcinoma metastasis to the pancreas mimicking a pancreatic primary neoplasm and highlights the potential pitfalls of EUS-FNA for the diagnosis of certain metastases to the pancreas.

Background: The cancer cell marker poliovirus receptor-like protein 4 (PVRL4) has been shown to be highly expressed in many cancers, including lung cancer. Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are a population of immature myeloid cells with immunosuppressive roles that can attenuate the anticancer response. Here, the precise functions and the relationship between PVRL4 and MDSCs in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) progression were investigated.

Background: ROS1, a member of the sevenless subfamily of tyrosine kinase insulin receptors, promotes tumor cell survival, proliferation, and metastasis by activating the JAK/STAT, PI3K/AKT, and MAPK/ERK pathways. It only accounts for about 2% of total NSCLC cases. No cases of acquired ROS-1 rearrangement have been reported worldwide.

There are many causes of peripheral blood eosinophilia (PBE), including allergic, infectious, rheumatic, and hematologic disorders. Solid tumor cancers, such as lung cancer, can also cause PBE, and although rare, being diagnosed with PBE in this way is associated with a worse prognosis than for lung cancer patients without PBE. Additionally, some cancer patients develop PBE when receiving treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).

Unlabelled: Lung cancer remains the leading cause of death among cancer patients, and the five-year survival rate is less than 25%. However, () polymorphism rs140693 predicts the prognosis of lung cancer patients still needs further verification. Primary lung cancer patients ( = 839) were collected from two hospitals, genomic DNA was extracted from blood, and genotyping was performed using SNPcan technology.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) treatment have shown high efficacy for about 15 cancer types. However, this therapy is only effective in 20-30% of cancer patients. Thus, the precise biomarkers of ICI response are an urgent need.
