Objective: To report a single tertiary center experience in the management of prenatally diagnosed cases of fetal ascites and their postnatal outcomes.
Methods: Prenatally diagnosed fetal ascites cases were retrospectively analyzed from 2015 to 2022 using two-dimensional ultrasound with other investigations as required in a tertiary care center.
Results: Of 126 fetuses with fetal ascites, 70 progressed to hydrops and hence were excluded from the study.

Immune responses to tumors, comprising adaptive T cells and innate NK cells, arise very early in tumorigeneses and prior to detection of palpable tumors or before tissue pathology is evident. Yet, how nascent tumors evoke dendritic cell maturation and the resulting cytokine responses that are necessary for these effector anti-tumor immune responses is unknown. We have previously shown that CD91 expression on dendritic cells is important for immune surveillance, specifically for generating T cell and NK cell responses to nascent tumors.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the detection rate of genetic abnormalities in cases of foetal gallbladder (FGB) size abnormalities to determine whether these abnormalities justify prenatal diagnosis.
Methods: Two hundred and twenty-seven foetuses with gallbladder (GB) size anomalies who underwent prenatal diagnosis between January 2015 and June 2024 were included in the study. All these patients underwent chromosomal microarray and/or karyotyping, and 37 cases also underwent whole exome sequencing (WES).

Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy represent an escalating global health concern with increasing incidence in low- to middle-income countries and high-income countries alike. The current lack of methods to detect the subclinical stages of preeclampsia (PE) and fetal growth restriction (FGR), two common vascular disorders of pregnancy, limits treatment options to minimize acute- and long-term adverse outcomes for both mother and child. To determine whether impaired maternal cardiovascular or uteroplacental vascular function precedes the onset of PE and/or FGR (PE-FGR), we used noninvasive techniques to obtain serial measurements of maternal cardiac output (CO), stroke volume (SV), systemic vascular resistance (SVR), and uterine and fetal arterial resistance at , -, and for 79 maternal-infant pairs in La Paz-El Alto, Bolivia (3,850 m), where the chronic hypoxia of high altitude increases the incidence of PE and FGR.

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is a common clinical disorder in pregnant women. Inflammation and endoplasmic reticulum stress play an important role in the occurrence and development of FGR. The purpose of this study was to explore the expression and significance of endoplasmic reticulum stress and inflammatory response indicators in the serum of pregnant women with FGR.
