Objectives: to understand the perspective of nurses on the use of telemonitoring in the management of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension in primary care.
Methods: this qualitative research involved sixteen nurses from eight municipalities in Paraná. Data were collected between November 2022 and January 2023 through inperson or remote interviews, which were audio-recorded and subjected to content analysis.

Self-management is a core component of treatment for type 2 diabetes, but there is low uptake of self-management education and support interventions in rural areas. Rural structural barriers to diabetes self-management have been described, yet the role of rural culture has not been extensively explored.

» Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) undergoing shoulder arthroplasty (SA) have a unique risk profile, which must be considered by clinicians.» The presence of DM as a comorbidity is associated with longer length of stay following SA, greater likelihood of nonhome discharge, and a higher rate of 90-day readmission.» Though the incidence is low, patients with DM are at an increased risk of serious postoperative cardiovascular complications, such as pulmonary embolism, venous thromboembolism, and myocardial infarction.

Many historical administrative documents, such as the 1940 census, have been digitized and thus could be merged with geographic data. Merged data could reveal social determinants of health, health and social policy milieu, life course events, and selection effects otherwise masked in longitudinal datasets. However, most exact boundaries of 1940 census enumeration districts have not yet been georeferenced.
