The farming of animals is one of the largest industries, with animal food products, milk, and dairy being crucial components of the global economy. However, zoonotic bacterial diseases, including brucellosis, pose significant risks to human health. The goal of this research is to develop a mathematical model to understand the spread of brucellosis in cattle populations, utilizing the Caputo-Fabrizio operator to control the disease's incidence rate.

Background: Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is an acute or subacute, highly contagious, and economically important, transboundary disease of small ruminants caused by Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV).

Objectives: The objective of this study was to determine the seroconversion rate in PPR vaccinated flock of sheep (Sekela district) and the seroprevalence of PPRV in unvaccinated flocks of sheep and goats (Yilmanadensa district).

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from January to March 2022 in two selected districts of West Gojjam zone, Ethiopia.

Article Synopsis
  • Smaller grazers prefer recently burned patches for better energy intake, while larger grazers focus on unburned grass for higher quantity.
  • The study investigated burn preference changes over time among seven herbivore species using camera traps in Serengeti National Park.
  • Results showed that smaller species initially favored burns, but this preference declined after 6 months, while larger herbivores began to select burned areas after 10 months, indicating a shift in grazing behavior over time that simulations did not fully explain.

China Meat Research Center, Beijing Academy of Food Sciences, Beijing the Key Laboratory of Meat Processing Technology, Beijing 100068, China. Electronic address:

Extending the shelf life of fresh beef is essential for meat industry. This study explored the microbial community succession, metabolic profile changes, and their interactions during refrigerated storage of beef under different packaging methods. The results showed that compared with air packaging (AP), vacuum packaging (CV) and vacuum skin packaging (VS) maintained higher microbial diversity over longer periods.
