As demanded by Argentinian cartoonist Quino's (2014) character Libertad (meaning freedom), the Latin American tradition of Liberation Psychology has explicitly called for a decolonising praxis since the 1970s. Such call has implications for training courses in psychology and other fields related to health and wellbeing, such as psychiatrists or social workers. However, there are various challenges in translating a decolonial rhetoric into concrete practice within the classroom, research and practice placements. This paper presents an account of experience and dialogues between two liberatory and critical community psychology educators in universities from the UK and Ecuador. Based on an international participatory roundtable on decolonisation and a pedagogical exchange between their students, the authors discuss the limitations and possibilities of engaging in a 'new praxis' that is both decolonial and liberatory.

Over the last decade, there has been an increase in calls to address important questions on race and decolonisation within the university, administratively, pedagogically, and socially. This study investigates the relationship between the university, the coloniser, and the colonised during the colonial era and the afterlife. It aims to demonstrate that the university has made the act of abstraction and theorisation central across disciplines in a way that shears theoretical principles from the historical contexts they emerge from, distancing them from the purposes, people, and interests they were meant to serve, as well as the populations they were meant to dispossess and disempower.

Meaningful lessons about decolonising water infrastructure (social, economic and political) can be learned if we scrutinise existing governance principles such as the ones provided by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2021's Principles on Water Governance. Instead of using Western frameworks to think about policy within Indigenous spheres of water, sanitation and hygiene, the Government of Canada can look to Indigenous ways of knowing to complement their understanding of how to govern areas of water, sanitation and hygiene efficiently. In this paper, the term encompasses First Nations, Inuit and Métis populations.

The paper posits that -in relation to the lives of People with Learning Disabilities-offers a significant and original insight into critical and social theory across the social sciences and humanities. Drawing on postcolonial and critical disability theory I suggest that being human as praxis of People with Learning Disabilities is sophisticated and generative but is always enacted in a deeply disablist and ableist world. I explore being human as praxis in (i) a culture of disposability; (ii) the midst of absolute otherness and (iii) the confines of a neoliberal-ableist society.

While there is an emerging scholarship on decolonising dentistry, the debate about reflexivity, positionality and white privilege in dental educational research and practice is still at a developmental stage. This article aims to contribute to this nascent debate by contemplating the question- is it appropriate, or possible, for a white researcher to undertake decolonisation work in dental education? If so, what would it entail or 'look' like? To answer this important question, the author offers a reflective account of their ethical and epistemological journey with this very question. This journey begins with how I, a white researcher, first became aware of the everyday racism experienced by my racially and ethnically minoritized students, the whiteness of dental educational spaces and how my white privilege and position as a dental educator consciously and unconsciously implicated me in these processes of exclusion and discrimination.
