Introduction: Trauma and orthopedics departments have traditionally used face-to-face (FTF) fracture clinics for non-operative fractures. Developed in 2011, the virtual fracture clinic (VFC) was fully implemented at an institution during the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce in-person interactions.
Aims: First, the study aims to measure the percentage of non-operative patients triaged through the VFC when this was optional and re-audit after implementing a COVID-19-related policy change mandating VFC triage.

Introduction: A subset of undifferentiated vertigo cases can be attributed to dangerous central causes such as posterior circulation ischemic stroke (PCIS) or transient ischemic attack (TIA). Due to a lack of validated clinical risk scoring tools, there is currently high heterogeneity in emergency department (ED) neuroimaging practices for patients presenting with undifferentiated vertigo. Therefore, this study assessed the utility of head and neck CT with angiography (CTA) for risk stratifying ED patients presenting with vertigo.

Background: Depression screening is an important first step to identifying patients who might benefit from depression treatment. Merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS) quality measures can yield financial benefits or losses for healthcare systems, including depression screening.
Objectives: This study aims to (1) develop a team-based care workflow to improve MIPS depression screening in a specialty clinic and (2) modify the workflow to include a virtual nursing and behavioral health resource after the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Introduction: Emergency department overcrowding is a universal problem. It is associated not only with poor clinical outcomes but also with a decrease in patient satisfaction, especially in patients with low complexity emergencies or triage 4 and 5, who tend to have a longer waiting time.
Objective: This study aims to determine whether the implementation of a care strategy for patients with low complexity emergencies called "The special Line" in the emergency department of a third level academic institution in Colombia, has a positive impact on the level of satisfaction with the care received by the patient and the number of people who leave without being seen.

Background: Streptococcus agalactiae poses a significant threat to neonatal health, causing morbidity and mortality when transmitted from the maternal vagina to the newborn's respiratory tract. Among its various strains, serotype III is predominant in severe neonatal infections in Asia. However, the mechanisms of pathogenesis and host responses underlying serotype-specific disease outcomes remain poorly understood.
