Mediastinal mass syndrome represents a major threat to respiratory and cardiovascular integrity, with difficult evidence-based risk stratification for interdisciplinary management. We conducted a narrative review concerning risk stratification and difficult airway management of patients presenting with a large mediastinal mass. This is supplemented by a case report illustrating our individual approach for a patient presenting with a subtotal tracheal stenosis due to a large cyst of the thyroid gland.

Odontogenic keratocysts (OKCs) are an invasive type of odontogenic cyst that rarely occurs in the maxilla. This article presents a case of OKC complicated with ectopic teeth occurring in the maxillary sinus. The SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, the most severe pandemic in recent human history, found healthcare systems around the world more or less unprepared. Adjusting to this challenge involved changes in the daily routines of healthcare systems, as well as the patients, once again highlighting the importance of primary care (family physician or general practitioner). In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family doctor in Romania played a crucial role in patient management, rapidly adapting to the changes and challenges imposed by the state of emergency.

Burn scars present psychological and social challenges for patients, classified into atrophic and hypertrophic types. Treatments like corticosteroid injections, laser therapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections are commonly recommended for hypertrophic scars, while regenerative medicine and fractional CO2 lasers are linked to some degree of improvement for atrophic scars. Hypopigmented and depigmented burn scars pose ongoing challenges for healthcare providers and patients, with therapies such as intense pulsed light and fractional CO2 laser showing variable effects in treating these conditions.

Background: Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is a syndrome of cyclic nausea and vomiting in the setting of chronic cannabis use. To date, only 11 cases of CHS in pregnancy have been reported.
Case Presentation: We describe two cases of uncontrolled vomiting in pregnancy due to CHS.
