The rise of solo travel has become a significant trend in the leisure sphere; nonetheless, there is limited understanding of how solo travelers utilize social media throughout their travel process. This lack of insight represents a research problem, as it hinders the ability to enhance solo travel experiences through social media engagement. Addressing this gap, this study investigates the specific ways in which solo leisure travelers experience and engage with social media during their journeys.

Background: Cognitive integration occurs when trainees make conceptual connections between relevant knowledges and is known to improve learning. While several experimental studies have demonstrated how text and audio-visual instruction can be designed to enhance cognitive integration, clinical skills training in real-world contexts may require alternative educational strategies. Introducing three-dimensional (3D) printed models during clinical skills instruction may offer unique learning opportunities to support cognitive integration.

Low- and middle-income countries are facing a rapid increase in nutritional problems, particularly in Africa, where undernutrition, overweight and micronutrient deficiencies coexist, creating a double burden of malnutrition and a challenge to public health policies. In this context, Morocco stands out for its early nutritional transition, characterized by a moderate prevalence of overweight and undernutrition and elevated levels of micronutrient deficiencies. The aim of this study was to assess the weight status of women of childbearing age and identify its determinants to suggest ways to improve it.

Studies on the mechanisms and regulation of functional assemblies of SNARE proteins mediating membrane fusion essentially make use of recombinant proteins and artificial phospholipid bilayers. We have developed an easy-to-use in vivo system reconstituting membrane fusion in living bacteria. It relies on the formation of caveolin-dependent intracytoplasmic cisternae followed by the controlled synthesis of members of the synaptic SNARE machinery.

Identification of QTL-by-environment interaction by controlling polygenic background effect.

Department of Botany and Plant Sciences, University of California, Riverside, CA 92521, USA. Electronic address:

The QTL by environment interaction (Q×E) effect is hard to detect because there are no effective ways to control the genomic background. In this study, we propose a novel linear mixed model that simultaneously analyzes data from multiple environments to detect Q×E interactions. This model incorporates two different kinship matrices derived from the genome-wide markers to control both main and interaction polygenic background effects.
