Background: This study will appraise the effectiveness and safety of suprascapular nerve block (SNB) for the treatment of frozen shoulder (FS).
Methods: This study will incorporate studies relevant to SNB on FS. Articles will be searched in the electronic databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web of Science, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library, WANGFANG, and CNKI) from inception to the present. In addition, this study will also retrieve conference proceedings and reference lists of included studies. All literature source searches will not be restricted by date and language. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool will be utilized to evaluate the quality of retrieved trials. Data will be collected independently by 2 authors. All collected data will be analyzed by RevMan 5.3 software.
Results: This study will synthesize the most recent published high quality trials on assessing the effectiveness and safety of SNB in treating FS.
Conclusion: The findings of this study will provide a genuine understanding and helpful evidence to determine whether SNB is effective or not in treating FS.

We have conducted a systematic study employing density functional theory (DFT) and quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) to explore the gas sensing capabilities of nitrogen-doped single vacancy graphene quantum dots (SV/3N) decorated with transition metals (TM = Mn, Co, Cu). We have studied the interactions between TM@SV/3N and four different target gases (AsH, NH, PH, and HS) through the computation of adsorption energies, charge transfer, noncovalent interaction, density of states, band gap, and work function for 12 distinct adsorption systems. Our comprehensive analysis included an in-depth assessment of sensors' stability, sensitivity, selectivity, and reusability for practical applications.

Background: Self-reported mental stress is not consistently recognized as a risk factor for stroke. This prompted development of a novel algorithm for stress-phenotype indices to quantify chronic stress prevalence in relation to a modified stroke risk score in a South African cohort. The algorithm is based on biomarkers adrenocorticotrophic hormone, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-sensitive cardiac-troponin-T, and diastolic blood pressure which exemplifies the stress-ischemic-phenotype index.
