Certain dietary fibers exhibit prebiotic effects on gut microbiota, but their influence on oral health remains unclear. This study conducted a systematic review across four databases to examine the potential effects of dietary fibers on dental caries. Data selection and extraction were conducted independently and in duplicate.

Background: COVID-19 lockdown measures have profoundly altered lifestyle habits, exposing individuals to significant health risks Aim: This study aims to assess the impact of quarantine measures in Tunisia, with a focus on examining changes in dietary habits, levels of physical activity, psychological patterns, and factors contributing to weight gain.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional study involving 1,016 participants and employed a mixed-methods approach to gather data on dietary habits, physical activity levels, and psychological indicators. Statistical analyses, including binary logistic regression, were conducted to identify independent risk factors associated with weight gain during the quarantine period.

Context: Bone age assessment (BAA) is critical for pediatric endocrinology. Traditional methods are complex and time-consuming, and current computer-aided systems have made progress but still lacking in robustness.
Objective: Develop simplified BAA methods to aid pediatricians in quick clinical assessments.

Introduction: This study investigated the association between modifiable factors and symptom progression in dementia over up to 8 years.
Methods: Multilevel growth curve models assessed the role of modifiable risk factors (low education, hearing impairment and its treatment, depression, physical inactivity, diabetes and its treatment, smoking, hypertension and its treatment, obesity, alcohol consumption, social isolation, and visual impairment) on cognitive and functional trajectories in 353 people with dementia.
Results: Higher education was associated with higher initial cognitive status but faster decline.

Biophotovoltaics (BPV) represents an innovative biohybrid technology that couples electrochemistry with oxygenic photosynthetic microbes to harness solar energy and convert it into electricity. Central to BPV systems is the ability of microbes to perform extracellular electron transfer (EET), utilizing an anode as an external electron sink. This process simultaneously serves as an electron sink and enhances the efficiency of water photolysis compared to conventional electrochemical water splitting.
