The purpose of this study was to use the meta-analytic approach to assess the effectiveness of self-controlled (SC) and regulated (R) feedback on motor skill performance (MSP). Random effects model using the standardized mean difference effect size () was used to pool results. A total of 86 , retrieved from 18 studies, were calculated and separated into three types of feedback: SC, R, and yoked group (YG). In acquisition phase, SC ( = 1.872; = 1.014, 2.730), R ( = 0.852; = 0.614, 1.090), and YG ( = 1.492; = 0.266, 2.718) significantly improved MSP. In retention phase, SC and YG had a nonsignificant decrease in MSP, R ( = -0.819; = -1.207, -0.430) significantly decrease MSP. Several factors were analyzed as moderator variables. Results suggest that SC feedback enhances learning.

Background: The occurrence of scalp seborrheic dermatitis (SD) is closely related to the production of sebum and scalp barrier function. Supramolecular salicylic acid has the keratolytic and anti-inflammatory properties, and zinc pyrithione is an antifungal drug delivered as a microparticle to skin epithelia.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of 2% supramolecular salicylic acid (SSA) combined with 0.

Background: Prescribing cholinesterase inhibitors (ChEIs) concurrently with beta-blockers might cause syncope that increases the risk of fall-related injuries (FRIs). This self-controlled case series study assesses the risk of FRIs associated with initiating ChEIs while receiving beta-blockers among Medicare fee-for-service-insured nursing home (NH) residents in the United States.
Methods: We identified individuals at their first dispensing of a beta-blocker between 2016 and 2019 after at least 45 days of long-stay NH residency.

What do self-controlled individuals do that distinguishes them from those who are more impulsive? That is, why are some people better able to align their behavior with personal long-term goals despite alternatives that would be more immediately gratifying? To address this question, we use the Process Model of Self-Control [1], which posits that all impulses are generated via a four-stage, recursive process and can be regulated by intentionally intervening at any of these stages. We suggest that this framework illuminates not only individual states of self-control, but also the diverse ways that stable individual differences in self-control can come about.

Aging is characterized by a decline in the adaptability and resistance of the body. In this study, Bushen Kangshuai Granules (BKG), as a kind of Chinese herbal formula, was developed and shown to alleviate aging-related symptoms. Self-controlled study combined with RNA-seq and metabonomics were used to expound the efficacy and safety of BKG and revealed the regulation mechanism of BKG treating aging.
