The present study introduces an innovative blown coextrusion die technology designed to address a critical gap in the production of multilayer films. Unlike conventional systems, this novel die allows for the creation of films with a high number of layers, ensuring layer integrity even in the micro-nano scale. A key advancement of this die is its ability to increase the number of layers without extending the residence time since it does not require an additional multiplier element.

Background And Aim: Treatment effects of a combined rapid maxillary expansion (RME) and Delaire facemask (DFM) therapy have so far only been scientifically investigated through cephalometric analyses. The combination of cephalometric, dental cast and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan analysis was not yet used for investigating morphologic changes of the tooth-bearing palate. The aim of the present study was to determine whether patient age at treatment begin has an influence upon palatal length changes after RME/DFM therapy, and to what extent transverse palatal sutures contribute to these.

Developing highly efficient biomass-derived carbon-based electrocatalysts remains challenging for urea electrolysis because most of these electrocatalysts show powder morphology, which can lead to Ostwald ripening during the reaction process, and its reaction mechanism should be further verified. Herein, self-supported lignin-derived carbon coupling NiO@MoNi heterojunction (NiO@MoNi/C) possesses superhydrophilic properties and electronic modulation, boosting the performance of urea electrolysis. Electrochemical results show that an indirect oxidation step for urea oxidation reaction (UOR) and Volmer-Heyrovsky mechanism for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) occurs on the surface of NiO@MoNi/C.

High-pressure die casting (HPDC) of aluminum alloys is one of the most efficient manufacturing methods, offering high repeatability and the ability to produce highly complex castings. The cast parts are characterized by good surface quality, high dimensional accuracy, and high tensile strength. Continuous technological advancements are driving the increase in part complexity and quality requirements.
