Screening of the GC/MS profiles of the hydrodistilled essential oils and volatile components from the aerial parts of L.

Nat Prod Res

December 2024

Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Sciences, Shahrood Branch, Islamic Azad University, Shahrood, Iran.

The present study is centred on the analysis of the chemical compositions of essential oils (EOs) and volatile fractions extracted from the aerial parts of L. (APDSL) utilising traditional hydrodistillation (HD), solid phase microextraction (SPME), and a novel method known as innovative cigarette ignition (Incigig), all in combination with GC/MS. The results of this investigation reveal notable differences in both the types and relative percentages of the primary constituents; however, all identified profiles exhibit a significant presence of non-terpene hydrocarbons.
