Although many studies report effective use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection in the clinics, almost no study reports any side effects. The patient who was treated with PRP injection in gastrocnemius muscle developed complications. The authors of this study present a case which may show the possible side effects of PRP.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) holds promising prospects for the treatment of skin photoaging. This study aims to unravel the mechanism underlying PRP's anti-photoaging properties. Partial skin of rats was irradiated with ultraviolet (UV) and injected with PRP, and the skin appearance, pathological state, and aging conditions were determined.

Unlabelled: Despite the prevalence and severity of enterococcal bacteremia (EcB), the mechanisms underlying systemic host responses to the disease remain unclear. Here, we present an extensive study that profiles molecular differences in plasma from EcB patients using an unbiased multi-omics approach. We performed shotgun proteomics and metabolomics on 105 plasma samples, including those from EcB patients and healthy volunteers.

Objectives: Plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) is presumed to be able to stimulate the regeneration of skin and periodontal tissue. This effect can be attributed to the fact that PRGF contains fewer leukocyte-derived interleukins in comparison to platelet-rich plasma (PRP). However, a comparison of the effects of PRGF and PRP on gingival epithelial cells has not been conducted yet.

Introduction: Alveolar cleft grafting is crucial in cleft lip and palate rehabilitation, promoting maxillary continuity and facilitating dental development. While autologous bone grafts are the gold standard, combining them with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and xenografts like Bio-Oss has the potential to enhance bone regeneration and long-term stability. This study aimed to evaluate the synergistic effects of combining autologous cortico-cancellous bone grafts, PRP, and Bio-Oss in alveolar cleft repair.

Introduction: Chronic low back pain (CLBP), or low back pain lasting greater than 12 weeks, is a prevalent condition that profoundly impacts the quality of life in affected individuals. Traditional treatments - such as physical therapy, medications, injections, minimally invasive procedures, and surgery - often prove ineffective in a considerable number of cases, particularly when utilized as singular modalities. Given the complex biopsychosocial nature of CLBP, a multi-modality approach tailored to each patients' unique needs is essential.
