Background & Aims: Buprenorphine and methadone are drugs used as medication for addiction treatment for patients with opioid use disorders (OUDs). However, scarce evidence indicates that they induce oxidative stress, which contributes to the deterioration of psychosocial parameters, thus complicating successful rehab.
