Background: Cysticercosis, a parasitic infection caused by the larval stages of the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium, predominantly affects cerebral and ocular tissues. The subcutaneous manifestation of this disease is a relatively uncommon clinical occurrence. Previously very few or no cases of cysticercosis presenting as subcutaneous solitary painful swelling have been reported in the literature.

Pigmented epithelioid melanocytoma (PEM) is a rare and diagnostically challenging skin neoplasm. Differentiating this lesion from melanoma is challenging due to overlapping clinical, histopathological, and immunohistochemical features. Some PEMs have a benign course, while others may be associated with more aggressive behaviour and have potential for local recurrence or distant metastasis.

Unlabelled: A 43-year-old male with a history of intravenous drug use and alcohol consumption presented to the emergency department with three-month history of failure to thrive. The patient exhibited a constellation of constitutional symptoms including cough, weight loss, fatigue, decreased appetite, nausea and vomiting. The skin examination revealed multiple subcutaneous hyperpigmented, indurated plaques and nodules on the trunk and arms.

Erythema nodosum (EN) is a reactive inflammatory panniculitis, which has been associated with medications, infections, autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases. It has rarely been associated with neoplasms. We present the case of a 61-year old woman who was admitted because 3-week history of painful erythematous subcutaneous nodules on the lower limbs clinically consistent with EN, which was confirmed by skin biopsy.
