Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) was performed to decolonize gastrointestinal tract from antibiotic-resistant bacteria before allogeneic hematopoietic cells transplantation (alloHCT). AlloHCT was complicated by norovirus gastroenteritis, acute graft-versus-host disease, and eosinophilic pancolitis. Norovirus was identified in samples from FMT material. Symptoms resolved after steroids course and second norovirus-free FMT from another donor.

Background Aims: With novel therapies improving prognosis, the complications of multiple myeloma after multi-line treatment, particularly myelosuppression, have become a crucial determinant of long-term outcomes. Non-myeloablative allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a feasible option, but the transplant-related mortality rate remains high. Our study presents a relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma patient with a 9-year disease history.

Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) and oral lichen planus (LPO) are chronic inflammatory conditions with similar oral manifestations. This study aimed to assess whether serum and salivary cytokines (IL-1α, IL-6, IL-17) could serve as reliable biomarkers for cGVHD. A prospective cohort study was conducted involving cGVHD patients, LPO patients, and healthy controls.

Richter syndrome (RS) represents a major unmet need in the lymphoma field, being refractory to chemoimmunotherapy and targeted agents. The BCL-2 inhibitor venetoclax in combination with dose-adjusted EPOCH-R chemoimmunotherapy showed promising efficacy in patients affected by RS. However, responses were not durable, suggesting the need for further treatment optimization.

The diagnostic utility of immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections in bullous disorders is useful when frozen tissue is not available. In pemphigus vulgaris and pemphigus foliaceus, an intercellular lace-like staining pattern of IgG4 on lesional tissue by immunohistochemistry has been described, with a comparable sensitivity and specificity to direct immunofluorescence on perilesional tissue. This study aimed to evaluate the staining pattern of IgG4 in non-immunobullous disorders to highlight the potential pitfalls when using this stain.

Background: Graft versus host disease (GVHD) is an autoimmune disease that affects the oral cavity as well as other parts of the body. Oral GVHD occurs in 45-83% of cases, and chronic GVHD observed in 30-50% of cases usually manifests as an oral presentation.
Case Presentation: In this case report, a 13 years-old girl was referred to the periodontics clinic from the pediatric dentistry clinics for proper diagnosis and management of the oral presentations observed after receiving a prosthetic valve replacement 2 years ago.
