By a simple cross-substitution of A-site Li/Na in tetragonal tungsten bronze (TTB) structures, we successfully synthesized a new niobate compound, Pb2.15(Li0.25Na0.75)0.7Nb5O15, with a superstructure. This compound exhibits a strong second harmonic generation (SHG) up to ∼47 × KDP. The large SHG response is related to strengthened local distortion, manifesting cross-substitution as a possibly general route to improve the NLO effect in stiff and low symmetric structures.

Tungsten bronze oxides have emerged as attractive materials for energy storage owing to their fast charge-discharge property. However, the internal weakness of low capacity and short cycling performance impedes their development in wide application. In this work, the tungsten bronze WNbO nanorods with preferred orientation (001) were prepared by hydrothermal method for the first time.

In this work, the rare earth element Ce was incorporated into the A-site of SrBaNbO ferroelectric ceramics, which was prepared using the conventional solid state reaction method and sintered under different procedures. A comprehensive investigation was conducted to assess the impact of Ce doping and varying sintering procedures on both the relaxor characteristics and electrical properties of the ceramics. When sintered at 1300 °C for 4 h, the grains exhibited an isometric shape.

The chemical flexibility of the tetragonal tungsten bronze (TTB) structure offers a large potential for compositional engineering. Cation size and vacancy concentration are known to affect its structure, cation disorder, and functional properties. However, the compositional complexity also makes the TTB structure challenging to understand.

Purpose: Effective cancer treatment relies on the precise deployment of clinical imaging techniques to accurately treat tumors. One highly representative technology among these is multi-imaging guided phototherapy. This work introduces a new and innovative theranostic drug that combines near-infrared (NIR) irradiation-induced photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT) to treat malignancies.

Electrolysis of natural seawater driven by renewable energy is practically attractive for green hydrogen production. However, because precipitation initiated by an increase in local pH near to the cathode deactivates catalysts or blocks electrolyzer channels, limited catalysts are capable of operating with untreated, natural seawater (., pH 8.
