Objectives: We aimed to develop a prediction model identifying people presenting to primary care with musculoskeletal symptoms likely to be anti-CCP positive and therefore at risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Methods: Participants aged ≥16 years, with new-onset non-specific musculoskeletal symptoms and no history of clinical synovitis, completed a symptom questionnaire and had an anti-CCP test. Model development used LASSO-penalised logistic regression, performance was assessed using area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) and decision curve analysis, model over-fit was estimated using bootstrapping and cross-validation.

The aim of this multi-centre retrospective study was to clarify the prognostic factors for respiratory-related death in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) complicated rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Patient background data, treatment regimen, and disease activity indicators of RA and ILD at baseline, 6 months after the diagnosis of ILD, and at the last follow-up visit were extracted. A total of 312 patients with RA-ILD (17 patients who died from respiratory-related causes and 295 survivors) were included.

Background: Seronegative rheumatoid arthritis (SRA) is a condition that is not well understood and difficult to confirm by a conventional diagnostic process. We aimed to quantify the potential cost-savings of an alternative diagnostic process (ADP) imaging-based, for patients with presumptive SRA from everyday clinical practice.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis for patients with presumptive SRA who tested negative for both rheumatoid factor and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies, through an ADP imaging-based, that is a standard clinical practice in our center.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune systemic inflammatory disorder that is mostly characterised by progressive symmetrical joint destruction, particularly in the wrist and fingers, while it may also affect additional joints and several organs, such as the skin, heart, blood vessels, and lungs. It is identified by raised anti-rheumatoid factor and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies. The chemical mediators involved in the activity of RA are IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6.

Objectives: Early and correct diagnosis would be beneficial for outcomes of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but there are some limitations in current diagnostic tools. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of circulating miR-22-3p and let-7a-5p in RA.
Methods: Seventy-six RA patients, 30 systemic lupus erythematosus patients, 32 Sjögren's syndrome patients and 36 healthy donors recruited at the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University (China) were included in this study.
