This cross-sectional study aimed to characterize the lifestyle habits, anxiety levels and basic psychological needs (BPN), in Portuguese adults during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, including a comparison between genders and age groups. In total, 1404 adults (36.4 ± 11.7 years; 69.6% female) answered sociodemographic data and three instruments: the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, the Basic Need General Satisfaction Scale and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Males revealed higher values for the total energy expenditure (z = -2.26; = 0.024; η 2 = 0.004) and for the level of satisfaction of competence (z = -2.62; = 0.009; η 2 = 0.005). Females showed higher scores for the anxiety state (z = -7.87; ≤ 0.001; η 2 = 0.044) and anxiety trait (z = -6.49; ≤ 0.001; η 2 = 0.030). Regarding age, higher values for the anxiety trait ( ≤ 0.001; η H 2 = 0.030) were found in the 18-34 years-old group compared to all the other age groups, also presenting significantly higher values of total energy expenditure (χ² = 13.93; = 0.008; η H 2 = 0.007) when compared to the 35-44 years-old group. Significant differences were observed between the 18-34 years-old group and the other age groups for the satisfaction of competence (χ² = 40.97; ≤ 0.001; η H 2 = 0.026), except for the >65 years-old group. Strategies for promoting well-being during periods of social isolation should consider the role of psychological dimensions and lifestyle habits according to the gender or age group.

The Rep68 protein from Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) is a multifunctional SF3 helicase that performs most of the DNA transactions necessary for the viral life cycle. During AAV DNA replication, Rep68 assembles at the origin of replication, catalyzing the DNA melting and nicking reactions during the hairpin rolling replication process to complete the second-strand synthesis of the AAV genome. We report the cryo-electron microscopy structures of Rep68 bound to the adeno-associated virus integration site 1 in different nucleotide-bound states.

Aims: Image-based, patient-specific rupture risk analysis of AAAs is promising but it is limited by invasive and costly imaging modalities. Ultrasound (US) offers a safe, more affordable alternative, allowing multiple assessments during follow-up and enabling longitudinal studies on AAA rupture risk.
Methods And Results: This study used time-resolved three-dimensional US to assess AAA rupture risk parameters over time, based on vessel and intraluminal thrombus (ILT) geometry.

Purpose: The goal of the study described in this protocol is to build a multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) model to predict abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) shrinkage 1 year after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).
Methods: In this retrospective observational multicenter study, approximately 1000 patients will be enrolled from hospital records of 5 experienced vascular centers. Patients will be included if they underwent elective EVAR for infrarenal AAA with initial assisted technical success and had imaging available of the same modality preoperatively and at 1-year follow-up (CTA-CTA or US-US).

ClpXP is a two-component mitochondrial matrix protease. The caseinolytic mitochondrial matrix peptidase chaperone subunit X (ClpX) recognizes and translocates protein substrates into the degradation chamber of the caseinolytic protease P (ClpP) for proteolysis. ClpXP degrades damaged respiratory chain proteins and is necessary for cancer cell survival.

Introduction: Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) are major causes of morbidity and mortality in the elderly population. Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is associated with lower complications rates than conventional treatment; however, rigorous follow-up with contrast imaging is required to confirm aneurysmal sac exclusion. The main objective of this study was to quantify and evaluate miRNA expression response to EVAR based on serum dosages at the 6-month follow-up.
