Mitigating loss of genetic diversity is a major global biodiversity challenge. To meet recent international commitments to maintain genetic diversity within species, we need to understand relationships between threats, conservation management and genetic diversity change. Here we conduct a global analysis of genetic diversity change via meta-analysis of all available temporal measures of genetic diversity from more than three decades of research.

Data collected from scholars across twenty-three countries over the past decade (2010-2019) reveals a 40% decrease in financial support for medicinal chemistry projects. The decline is especially notable among projects focused on small organic molecules. This drop in grants indicates a troubling trend that could jeopardize future drug development by undermining research in this crucial field.

The Homeless Population (HP) has grown exponentially in the last decade, causing different challenges for the Brazilian Unified Health System, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional, descriptive, and exploratory study, with triangulated quantitative and qualitative methods, was conducted from 2020 to 2022, exploring care practices geared to the HP in Belo Horizonte. Background: We synthesised the current evidence in coverage and quality of delivery care, change in neonatal mortality (NMR), and causes of neonatal death in the private sector deliveries in the Indian state of Bihar from 2011 to 2021.
Methods: Women aged 15-49 years with livebirths were interviewed in three household surveys involving state-representative samples in 2011, 2016 and 2020-2021 designed to document the coverage of maternal and newborn health services and change in NMR over time. Verbal autopsy interviews were used to assign the cause of neonatal death.

Human activities and climate change have significantly increased humic substances in freshwater ecosystems over the last few decades. This increase is particularly concerning during seasonal changes or after heavy rainfall, when concentrations can easily increase up to tenfold. This phenomenon, known as "browning," has unknown consequences for aquatic organisms.
