Porphyria is a rare and often underdiagnosed metabolic disorder that leads to abdominal pain, pelvic pain, changes in neurological states, and digestive issues due to a buildup of porphyrins in the body. Diagnosis can be especially difficult in young women, where symptoms of porphyria often overlap with gynecological conditions. We present a case of a 37-year-old female patient who was experiencing persistent lower abdominal and pelvic pain, brain fog and confusion, and a rash after long sun exposure.

Neuron-derived neurotrophic factor (NDNF) was discovered as a target antigen in membranous nephropathy (MN) caused by syphilis. However, there have been few reports of NDNF-positive MN in Japan. A 19-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital with nephrotic syndrome and acute kidney injury.

Background: Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome is a monogenic type 1 interferonopathy with infantile onset, characterized by a variable degree of neurological damage. Approximately 7% of Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome cases are caused by pathogenic variants in the ADAR gene and are classified as Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome type 6. Here, we present a new homozygous pathogenic variant in the ADAR gene.

Kawasaki disease (KD) is an idiopathic acute inflammatory illness that commonly affects children in Northeast Asian countries. In this case report, a psoriasiform eruption appeared on the face and extremities following the onset of KD. A review of previous reports identified 38 cases of psoriasiform eruptions following KD, typically appearing 4 days to 2 months after the onset of KD, unlike other skin manifestations associated with the disease.

Introduction: following the detection of vaccine-derived poliovirus in 2019 in Ethiopia, response activities have been conducted including strengthening disease surveillance activities.
Methods: trend analysis study design of acute flaccid paralysis and measles surveillance data for the years 2021 and 2022 for Southwest Ethiopia Region was used. The non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) rate and stool adequacy rates were used to assess the AFP surveillance.
