Calcite processed particles (CaPPs, Megagreen) elaborated from sedimentary limestone rock, and finned by tribomecanic process were found to increase photosynthetic CO fixation grapevines and stimulate growth of various cultured plants. Due to their processing, the CaPPs present a jagged shape with some invaginations below the micrometer size. We hypothesised that CaPPs could have a nanoparticle (NP)-like effects on plants. Our data show that CaPPs spontaneously induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) in liquid medium. These ROS could in turn induce well-known cellular events such as increase in cytosolic Ca, biotic ROS generation and activation of anion channels indicating that these CaPPs could activate various signalling pathways in a NP-like manner.

Online therapies have the potential to improve access to psychological services for individuals in need while alleviating the burden on healthcare systems. However, child and adolescent psychiatrists and psychotherapists (CAPPs) rarely integrate these services into their daily practice. This exploratory study investigates CAPPs' acceptance of online therapy, with a focus on treating children and adolescents with digital media use disorders (DMUD).

Cell functionality, driven by remarkable plasticity, is strongly influenced by mechanical forces that regulate mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) fate. This study explores the biomechanical properties of jaw periosteal cells (JPCs) and induced mesenchymal stem cells (iMSCs) under different culture conditions. We cultured both JPCs and iMSCs (n = 3) under normoxic and hypoxic environments, with and without osteogenic differentiation, and on laminin- or gelatin-coated substrates.

Generally, the extraction method has a great influence on the quality of pectin. However, there is little study on the effect of extraction method on the properties of fruit pulp pectin (CAPP). Accordingly, the physicochemical, structural, and functional properties of CAPP extracted by hot water (HWE), hydrochloric acid (HAE), ultrasound (UAE), and ultrahigh pressure (UPE) were investigated.

Partnership in healthcare is a cooperative relationship based on complementary knowledge between patients and professionals, which fosters the self-determination of the former. This article draws on the framework of the Montreal model applied to primary care, as well as the results of a research project that identified the key success factors for integrating patient partners into a multi-professional nursing home.
