Objective: This meta-analysis evaluates the efficacy and safety of various topical dosage forms of diclofenac (gel, solution, and patch) for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science for randomized controlled trials evaluating topical diclofenac formulations in knee osteoarthritis patients. Data on pain relief, functional outcomes, and adverse events were extracted.

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which is used topically as an adjunctive treatment of knee osteoarthritis and as an option to control joint pain in patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis. In this study, an emulgel containing optimized nano-niosomal piroxicam was formulated and characterized in terms of mean size, polydispersity index, zeta potential, drug entrapment efficiency and capacity, release and transdermal permeation. Also, animal studies including pain level assessment, synovial prostaglandin E2 levels, knee joint swelling degree and histopathologic investigations were conducted.

Thus, we describe the usage of fresh osteoarticular allograft (FOAG) to treat steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral condyle in pediatric cancer survivors. We assessed the efficacy of FOAGs to heal necrotic bone, provide long-term pain relief, while retrospectively reviewing quality of life and functional status.

Background: While the role of chronic preoperative steroid use in orthopedic outcomes has been studied, particularly in hip, knee, and lumbar surgeries, its impact on total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) outcomes is not well understood. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of chronic preoperative steroid use on early-onset postoperative infectious outcomes and readmission within 30 days following TSA compared to patients without chronic steroid use.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed using data from the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS-NSQIP) spanning from 2010-2018.

Objectives: To estimate the effect of intra-articular corticosteroid injection (IACI) for osteoarthritis on longer-term incidence of pain medications.
Methods: We conducted a cohort study of patients registered in the UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) GOLD primary care database with an incident diagnosis of knee, hip, hand, or shoulder osteoarthritis between 2005-2019. Exposure of interest was single or repeated use of IACI (analysed separately).
