In recent years, the Telaaobao Mineral Area in the Northwestern Ordos Basin has been newly discovered as a uranium mineralization area with its ore-bearing target layer located within the Lower Cretaceous Huanhe Formation, belonging to a new area and a new layer, and has great uranium deposit formation potential. In order to deeply study the issues of the ore-bearing target in this area, such as the petrology, mineralogy, and uranium mineralization of the ore-bearing sandstone, based on the data from field geological investigation and drill core logging, the petrological characteristics of the ore-bearing sandstone of the target layer are preliminarily interpreted using a polarizing microscope and a scanning electron microscope, and the uranium mineral composition, uranium occurrence state, and uranium deposit mineralization are investigated through the electron probe microanalysis technique in this paper. The results show that the target layer sandstone in the study area has the characteristics of proximal deposit and has undergone significant epigenetic alteration and transformation, producing favorable conditions for uranium- and oxygen-containing water transportation and uranium mineralization.

In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), excessive gluconeogenesis is considered a major contributor to hyperglycemia. Therefore, targeting fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase (FBPase), a key regulatory enzyme involved in gluconeogenesis, has gained interest as a potential therapeutic target for managing DM. In this study, a library of 42 structurally-related chromone derivatives (including flavonoids, 2-styrylchromones, and 2-(4-arylbuta-1,3-dien-1-yl)chromones, named as 2-styrylchromone-related derivatives), as well as 4- and 5-styrylpyrazoles, were tested against human FBPase using a noncellular microanalysis screening system.

Amidst worsening climate change, drought stress imperils global agriculture, jeopardizing crop yields and food security, thereby necessitating the urgent exploration of sustainable methods like biopriming for the harnessing of beneficial microorganisms to bolster plant resilience. Recent research has revealed diverse biological compounds with versatile applications produced by , rendering this fungus as a promising contender for biopriming applications. For the first time, this study aimed to investigate the potential of exo- (EPSH) and intra-polysaccharides (IPSH) isolated from two strains-Italian (ITA) and Serbian (SRB)-under submerged cultivation to enhance the resilience of L.

Polydimethyl glutarimide (PMGI) layers with sub-micron thicknesses have been modified in a 2.5 kV Ar plasma immersion ion implantation (PIII) process to introduce free radical covalent binding sites. The surface roughness of the PMGI increased after the PIII treatment but no through-layer defects were observed.

The thermal behavior of stellerite from the Savinskoye deposit (Transbaikalia, Russia), CaNaK(SiAl)O·53.39HO, was investigated by in situ high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction (HTXRPD) and ex situ HT infrared (IR) spectroscopic analysis. Four different HTXRPD experimental procedures were used to study the thermal behavior of the powder samples: (1) RT-750 °C, (2) RT-220 °C -RT, (3) 200-350-RT °C, and (4) 350-700 °C.
