The impact of wearing a face mask for an extended duration is unknown. This study aimed to determine if wearing a face mask for 10 h impacts blood pressure (BP) and arterial stiffness. Subjects received an ambulatory blood pressure cuff and were asked to wear it for 10 h while readings were taken every 15 min.

Aim/objectives: Fit testing of N95/FFP2 respirators is universally recommended before exposure to airborne infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Respirator supply shortage in the COVID-19 pandemic encouraged extended-use for up to 4 h, despite uncertainty about seal integrity over time. The aim of our study was to assess N95 seal integrity after at least 2 h of continuous clinical use in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Objective: to analyze the integrity of N95/PFF2 masks in relation to fiber morphology, porosity, cracks and micro holes, as well as identify visible damage to their structure and components, after seven- and fifteen-day reuse protocols.
Method: cross-sectional study. Structural and morphological characteristics of a new N95/PFF2 mask were analyzed in comparison with N95/PFF2 masks (n=10) used in seven- and fifteen-day protocols, through visual inspection and scanning electron microscopy.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the impact of different types of masks on the voices of healthcare professionals who had to wear masks for an extended amount of time during the pandemic period and had a healthy voice.
Methods: Our research included 41 healthcare workers. The participants were separated into two groups: surgical (n = 21) and N95 mask users (n = 20).
