Background: Non-metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) presents a challenging scenario: the rarity of the disease, the limited number of completed prospective trials, and the shortcomings of comparability across series produce several controversial topics and unanswered questions. Guideline recommendations usually include all the different therapeutic options, de facto transferring to the multidisciplinary team the responsibility on the final decision. This secondary analysis of the GARIBALDI study was aimed to explore the correlation of center type, self-declared volume, and commitment with the overall survival (OS) in patients with non-metastatic PDAC.

Aims: To summarize studies using the quality of diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes (Q-DIO) and to evaluate measurement properties of different Q-DIO translations/versions. This tool assesses the quality of nursing diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes documented in nursing practice.
Design: A scoping review was carried out by using the updated methodology for scoping reviews of the Joanna Briggs Institute.
Dispersal is a fundamental ecological process that influences population dynamics and genetic diversity and is therefore an important component of the models used to simulate population responses to environmental change. We considered informed dispersal in relation to settlement location, where individuals could optimise selection of settlement location with regard to per capita resource availability and investigated the importance of this type of informed dispersal for simulated demography and genetic diversity under different biological and environmental scenarios. We used an individual-based simulation model scaled with reference to the ecology of small mammals in fire prone savanna ecosystems.

Background: Sex may impact clinical outcomes in patients with stroke treated with dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT). We aimed to investigate the sex differences in the short-term outcomes of DAPT within a real-world population of patients with noncardioembolic mild-to-moderate ischemic stroke or high-risk transient ischemic attack.
Methods: We performed a propensity score-matched analysis from a prospective multicentric cohort study (READAPT [Real-Life Study on Short-Term Dual Antiplatelet Treatment in Patients With Ischemic Stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack]) by including patients with noncardioembolic mild-to-moderate stroke (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 0-10) or high-risk transient ischemic attack (age, blood pressure, clinical features, duration of transient ischemic attack, presence of diabetes [ABCD] ≥4) who initiated DAPT within 48 hours of symptom onset.

At the onset of lactation, high-producing dairy cows commonly face a negative energy balance and consequent metabolic disorders, such as hyperketonemia. Blood concentrations of nonesterified fatty acids (NEFA), BHB, cholesterol, glucose and urea provide valuable information about the metabolic, health, and nutritional status of lactating animals. Milk mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy has been successfully used for the prediction of several health traits, including concentration of blood metabolites even though the models' accuracy is moderate.
