Objective: Understanding healthcare-seeking propensity is crucial for optimizing healthcare utilization, especially for patients with chronic conditions like hypertension or diabetes, given their substantial burden on healthcare systems globally. This study aims to evaluate hypertensive or diabetic patients' healthcare-seeking propensity based on the severity of symptoms, categorizing symptoms as either major or minor. It also explores factors influencing healthcare-seeking propensity and examines whether healthcare-seeking propensity affects healthcare utilization and preventable hospitalizations.

Fish are ectothermic animals with temperature playing a key role in their health, growth and survival. Greater occurrence of heat waves and temperature extremes, as a result of global climate change, has the potential to impact both wild and farmed populations. Within aquaculture, production is threatened by a multitude of stressors, including adverse temperatures.

Interactions between bacteriophages with mammalian immune cells are of great interest and most phages possess at least one molecular pattern (nucleic acid, sugar residue, or protein structure) that is recognizable to the immune system through pathogen associated molecular pattern (PAMP) receptors (i.e., TLRs).

Chordomas are a low-to-intermediate-grade slow-growing subtype of sarcoma, but show propensity to grow and invade locally with recurrence and metastasis in 10-40% of cases. We describe the first case of spontaneous regression of a solid tumor (histologically and immunohistochemically proven chordoma) after COVID-19. A female patient with clival chordoma underwent occipitocervical fixation prior to tumor resection.

: Understanding the relationship between dietary patterns, nutrient intake, and chronic disease risk is critical for public health strategies. However, confounding from lifestyle and individual factors complicates the assessment of diet-disease associations. Emerging machine learning (ML) techniques offer novel approaches to clarifying the importance of multifactorial predictors.
