Introduction of an Ultrasound Course Based on Peer-Tutoring - An Update on the Blended Learning Basic Course Sonography Following the introduction of the new Swiss learning objectives catalogue 'PROFILES', the ability to carry out simple ultrasound examinations has become mandatory for undergraduates. Thanks to a collaboration between the Bern Institute of Primary Health Care and the 'Young Sonographers' SGUM section, the SGUM's classic-format basic abdomen teaching module has been changed into a 'blended learning' teaching format with 'peer tutoring'. It is particularly intended for students and junior doctors. Since the beginning of 2019, local 'Young Sonographers' subsections have gradually introduced the basic ultrasound course for students at four different Swiss universities. This article describes the implementation of the 'Blended Learning Basic Sonography Course' in Switzerland and the current student peer tutor activity at Swiss universities. We discuss the project's successes and current challenges, the Young Sonographers section, and look into the future of ultrasound training in Switzerland.

A 44 year-old previously healthy woman presented a persistent epigastric pain. Computed tomography revealed a saccular aneurysm with a diameter of 25x20 mm in the first jejunal artery and also a stenosis in the celiac trunk associated with median arcuate ligament syndrome, turning the hepatic perfusion dependent of the gastroduodenal artery flow. Through a midline laparotomy, celiac axis was exposed, and median arcuate ligament released for median arcuate ligament syndrome treatment.

Background: The clinical manifestations and course of rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD) exhibits considerable heterogeneity. In this study, we aimed to explore radiographic progression over a defined period, employing the Warrick score as a semi-quantitative measure in early RA-ILD, and to assess the associated risk factors for progression.
Methods: RA-ILD patients underwent consecutive Warrick scoring based on initial high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) at diagnosis and the first follow-up.

The complicated neurological syndrome known as multiple sclerosis (MS) is typified by demyelination, inflammation, and neurodegeneration in the central nervous system (CNS). Managing this crippling illness requires an understanding of the complex interactions between neurophysiological systems, diagnostic techniques, and therapeutic methods. A complex series of processes, including immunological dysregulation, inflammation, and neurodegeneration, are involved in the pathogenesis of MS.
