A boy, aged 14 years, was admitted due to recurrent cough and expectoration for more than 1 month, with aggravation and fever for 2 days. After admission, he presented with tachypnea and a significant reduction in transcutaneous oxygen saturation, and emergency chest CT examination showed large patchy exudation and consolidation of both lungs. The boy was given tracheal intubation and invasive mechanical ventilation immediately, and his condition was improved after active symptomatic treatment.

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with granular blasts was historically referred to as "granular ALL", but this is not recognized as a distinct entity in the current WHO classification. This rare morphological feature is predominantly associated with a B-cell immunophenotype, while T-ALL with prominent cytoplasmic granules is extremely rare, with limited available genetic, molecular, and prognostic data. Here, we report a unique case of ALL in a 9-year-old girl.

The purpose of the present research was to evaluate the effect of diets supplemented with activated yeast, crude chitin, and chitosan on the growth, immune, and antioxidant response of freshwater prawn () . Adult male prawns were kept in individual culture vessels installed in aquarium tanks. The basal diet (control) was supplemented with activated yeast (60 g/kg), crude chitin (20 g/kg), and chitosan (1 g/kg).
