The spotted seahorse, population is exponentially decreasing globally due to habitat loss contributed by massive coastal urbanization as well as its large exploitation for Chinese herbal medicine. Genomic data would be highly useful to improve biomonitoring of seahorse populations in Malaysia via the usage of non-invasive approaches such as water environmental DNA. Here we report the first complete mitogenome of two individuals originating from Malaysia, generated using BGISEQ-500RS sequencer. The lengths of both mitogenomes are 16,529bp, consisting of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and a control region. The overall base composition was 32.46% for A, 29.40% for T, 14.73% for G and 23.41% for C with AT rich features (61.86%). The gene organization of Malaysian were similar to that of most teleost species. A phylogenetic analysis of the genome against mtDNA data from other species showed that Malaysian samples clustered with and . Notably however, analysis of the data using BLASTn revealed they had 99.18% similarity to , and only 97.66% to and , which are all part of the unresolved complex. The mitogenomes are deposited in Genbank under the accession number MT221436 (HK1) and MT221436 (HK2).

The application of DNA data on a worldwide sampling has revolutionized the infrageneric classification of the highly diverse ectomycorrhizal genus . Based on collections made in New Zealand, East Asia and North America, this study describes a new subgenus , the ninth subgenus of . Even though BLASTn of the ITS sequences suggested affinities with species of subgenera and the phylogenetic analysis based on a five-locus DNA dataset placed the target samples in an independent major clade that is taxonomically equivalent to subgenus.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most prevalent form of dementia, remains enigmatic in its origins despite the widely accepted "amyloid hypothesis," which implicates amyloid-beta peptide aggregates in its pathogenesis and progression. Despite advancements in technology and healthcare, the incidence of AD continues to rise. The traditional drug development process remains time-consuming, often taking years to bring an AD treatment to market.

Nitrocellulose (NC)-based propellants have played a pivotal role in the development of energetic materials for both military and civilian applications. This review offers a comprehensive exploration of NC-based propellants, tracing their evolution from their historical origins as smokeless gunpowder to modern advancements. It discusses the chemical composition and classifications of NC propellants, along with continuous efforts to refine smokeless powder formulations through studies on smoke formation, residues, and additives.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the current practices and challenges faced by speech-language pathologists in three Southeast Asian countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam) in assessing and treating multilingual children with developmental language disorder.
Method: A survey was designed and administered to 110 speech-language pathologists across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The survey contained 60 questions on current practices and knowledge of existing resources for assessing and treating multilingual children with developmental language disorder.

Cancer and its diverse variations pose one of the most significant threats to human health and well-being. One of the most aggressive forms is blood cancer, originating from bone marrow cells and disrupting the production of normal blood cells. The incidence of blood cancer is steadily increasing, driven by both genetic and environmental factors.
